DANCING WITH THE STARS was back with its second week of competition and things got shaken up a bit from Week 1. For starters, Peta Murgatroyd and Donald Driver are absent from our list of top dances after Driver looked a “bit off” after a solid first week.
That made room for this week’s “oh damn!” performance, which was none other than THE VIEW’s Sherri Shepherd’s jive. There’s a whole lotta woman in that little body but boy can she move. I knew we were in for a treat after I heard the opening line of Tina Turner’s class Rolling On The River and Sherri did not disappoint. I don’t care about her technical skills or any mistakes made. Her smile is contagious and the fact that she was singing along made me fall in love.
I’m serious. Check it out and tell me you don’t feel the same way.
Next up, no surprise here. Roshon and Chelsie dancing a quick step. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Roshon got moves and Chelsie is just too darn cute for words. This, ladies and gentlemen, is your early odds-on favorite to win it all. Two weeks in and already two impressive dances.
Bringing up the rear is Maria Menounos and Derek Hough dancing a quick step. Is Maria the dark horse favorite? At this point yes.
And finally, something really weird happened last night and his name was Gavin Degraw, who looked like a drunk sailor trying to get laid in what presumably was a jive with his partner Karina Smirnoff.
This week’s honorable mentions go to Jack and Anna who dance a jive and Donald and Peta who danced a quick step.
