Starting this summer (Sunday, July 15th at 10pm) USA Networks will launch an ambitious mini-series called Political Animals, the look inside the life of a former First-Lady turned Secretary of State.

The show stars Sigourney Weaver as Elaine Barrish Hammond with Ciaran Hinds playing her ex-husband and Former U.S. President. The show also stars James Wolk, Sebastian Stan, Carla Gugino, Adrian Pasdar, Dylan Baker and Vanessa Redgrave.

Even if you only have a passing knowledge of politics you will see the parallels (and really lack of creativity) to Bill and Hillary Clinton. Still, I’m more than excited to see what this cast does with the “source material”.
