It’s not often that an actor loves playing a character more than the fans enjoyed their portrayal.

That may be the case for Thomas Jane, who starred in 2004′s The Punisher. Now Jane returns to the role in an unofficial short film called Dirty Laundry which also features cameos by a Mr. Ron Pearlman, and “The Joker’s” theme from The Dark Knight, so basically I couldn’t think of a better way to spend 10 minutes of your time today.

On the short, Jane says

I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish — we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.
