Move over, Gwyneth Paltrow, there’s another Oscar winner headed to Glee.
EGOT winner Whoopi Goldberg will join the McKinley High clan as Carmen Tibideaux, a professor at the fictional NYADA (New York Academy of Dramatic Arts).
Glee fans will remember NYADA as the Julliard-esque performing arts school Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Cris Colfer) are trying to attend after high school.
Glee Star Lea Michele took to Twitter with the news:
Lea Michele @msleamichele
So excited Whoopi is going to be on
#glee!!!!!
According to TVline.com, Goldberg is slated for a multi-episode arc which involves her character traveling to Ohio to audition Kurt and Rachel for NYADA.
Whoopi’s first appearance on Glee is slated for May 1st.
Other stars who have appeared on Glee include: Kristin Chenoweth, Ricky Martin, Carol Burnett, Josh Groban, Katie Couric, John Stamos and, wait for it…Neil Patrick Harris.
Glee returns Tuesday, April 10th at 8pm on FOX.
