SCOOP: Kimbra To Release “Vows” in U.S.
March 18th, 2012 | Posted by in Featured Music | Music | ScoopsFinally! Kimbra has set a U.S. release date for her debut album “Vows”. If you aren’t already in the now about Kimbra, then you are probably saying “Finally?” Well your curiosity will not go unattended.
Kimbra’s “Vows” was actually released on August 29th 2011…in Australia and New Zealand. So sorry to tease you, but as Kimbra is a New Zealand native who currently resides in Australia, this seems logical. With this release Kimbra quickly went platinum in Australia and naturally her music took to the internet. Simply youtube-ing Kimbra you would be able to find all of her songs off “Vows”. And although you wont be able to download the Aussie version of Vows from i-tunes or other digital retailers (due to territory restrictions), us Americans can be pacified by the release of the “Settle Down EP”. Which sadly is just a tease. WE WANT MORE!
Well we are going to get it. We have yet to see a track list for the US release of “Vows”, but rumor has it that Kimbra has recorded some new songs in Los Angeles for the U.S. release. The good news is we get some fresh new tracks. The bad news is that more than likely this means that we wont be getting all of the tracks from its original release. Time will tell, but it is confirmed that the songs Good Intent, Cameo Lover, and Settle Down (her top three singles) will be on the record.
So until more we get more details keep listening on youtube and catch her on her North American tour starting March 22nd 2012.
Kimbra’s “Vows” will be released in America on May 22nd, 2012.
