Tony Scott (1944 – 2012)
Tony Scott, best known for directing action films such as Top Gun, has died in an apparent suicide.
According to police, Scott jumped off of the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro, California.
A suicide note was found in his office.
The death was confirmed by Scott’s publicist, Simon Halls, who issued the following statement:
I can confirm that Tony Scott has passed away.
The family asks that their privacy is respected at this time
Some of Scott’s other films include True Romance, Enemy of the State, Deja Vu, Crimson Tide, Spy Game, and 2010′s Unstoppable.
Tony Scott was 68.
