Movie: Madagascar 3 – Europe’s Most Wanted

Believe it or not I’m a big MADAGASCAR fan. The first film was a breath of fresh air and while the second was, for the most part, a failure, the third seems to put a new spin on a series that was beginning to lose its way. This time our favorite castaways have to join a European circus to avoid being captured by authorities, and yes, the penguins are involved.

MADAGASCAR looks like its going to be a lot of fun, a perfect film for kids, or for us adults who like to pretend we’re still kids.

The film is directed by Noah Baumbach who is a very talented filmmaker, most notably responsible for co-writing FANTASTIC MR. FOX with Wes Anderson.

Madagascar 3 features the voices of Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, Jada Pinkett Smith, Sacha Baron Cohen and Frances McDormand.

Synopsis: Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo join a traveling circus in an effort to get back home to New York.

The movie will be released to theaters on June 8, 2012.
