Is it possible that Jonathan Frakes will appear on THE BIG BANG THEORY next season? I’m not a betting man, but if we’re to read between the lines on Twitter, executive producer Bill Prady thinks so.

A mere two days after the entire STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION cast reunited at Calgary Expo, the erstwhile Cmdr. William Riker (or Captain now, I guess), tweeted this message to the producer:

@billprady so what do I have to do to get on #TBBT ???

That tweet was quickly met with this cryptic response:

Trek actors are no strangers to the set of Big Bang. Most notably is Wil Wheaton’s several appearances as a more smarmy, evil version of himself. Other Trek actors to appear on the show include Brent Spiner (Data from TNG) and Leonard Nimoy as a Spock action figure.

So… is it on? We’d like to think so. We’ll find out in the fall, it seems.
