Is Netflix’s House of Cards About To Fold?

Netflix is learning the idea of producing original content may have been better left as just that, an idea.
After committing $100 million to 26 episodes of an Americanized version of the 1990′s British miniseries HOUSE OF CARDS, budget issues are now reportedly plaguing the production.
CARDS is about a politician who becomes corrupt as his ambitions grow.
The core of the dispute is the series’ executive producer, Oscar-nominated director David Fincher, wants more money and the independent studio handling the show’s budget, Media Rights Capital, is keeping its purse close to its chest.
The tension between the two sides has become so disruptive Fincher has already threatened to walk away from the project.
Fincher was set to direct the first two episodes of CARDS.
Kevin Spacey will also produce and star opposite Robin Wright.
