Green Day is set to release 3 new albums, but before that, we’re taking you back to their magnum opus: American Idiot.
Know Before You Go:
American Idiot was Green Day’s 7th studio album.
Influenced by rock operas, the album tells the story of “Jesus of Suburbia” and the characters he meets after leaving his home town for the city.
The album debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard charts and would go on to sell over 6 million copies. It was also turned into a Tony Award nominated musical.
American Idiot won the 2005 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.
