Why Take the Trip?
With the passing of Disco Queen Donna Summer, the Hub flashes you back to her best selling album.
Bad Girls came at the height of Donna Summer’s career, reaching #1 on the Billboard Charts on its way to selling over 4 million copies.
Know Before You Go:
Bad Girls was Donna Summer’s 7th studio album, and it was released just weeks after Summer’s “Last Dance” won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 51st Annual Academy Awards.
Just a few years earlier, Summer had helped launch the Disco craze with her hit “Love to Love You Baby.”
The album’s first two singles (“Bad Girls” and “Hot Stuff”) hit Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the album’s third single, “Dim All The Lights” peaked at Number 2.
