Why Take the Trip?
This week, Sir Paul McCartney turned 70, so we’re flashing you back to his younger days when he thought turning 64 was a long way off.
Know Before You Go:
Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band was the Beatles’ 8th studio studio album. It spent 15 weeks at Number 1 on the Billboard 200 and garnered four Grammy awards.
Recording for Sgt. Pepper began in late 1966 and produced two singles: “Penny Lane,” and “Strawberry Fields Forever.“ Those tracks would be released as a double A-sided single, but would not make the Sgt. Pepper LP.
They would later be released as part of the Magical Mystery Tour LP.
Standout Tracks:
→ With A Little Help From My Friends
→ Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
→ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
→ When I’m 64
