FIRST LOOK: Jeremy Renner in The Bourne Legacy

Here’s your first look at Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross in the Jason Bourne spinoff THE BOURNE LEGACY.
Renner replaces Matt Damon who notoriously took issue with the direction of the series and writer/director Tony Gilroy.
Oscar-winner Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, and Oscar Isaac are all co-starring in the film.
The film takes place after the collapse of black-ops program Treadstone, as a new, more dangerous department emerges.
Let’s be honest, the concept behind the Bourne films should allow the film to be rebooted indefinitely ala the Bond films, but many doubted Renner’s ability to fill the shoes left behind by Damon. Renner’s role in MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL should help, but recent reports of Renner’s involvement in a 6 man bar brawl in Thailand, where BOURNE is currently filming, no doubt helps his case for selling himself as a bad-ass to Americans. Apparently a battle ax was involved.
THE BOURNE LEGACY will hit theaters on August 3rd.
