Green Day is set to release 3 new albums between this fall and winter, and their first single is ready for your listening pleasure.

“Oh Love” is the first single from their upcoming album  ¡Uno!, and it’s a far cry from the sounds of American Idiot…at least until it hits the chorus.  Then it becomes a new song with a dash of American Idiot’s grunge.  This is a good thing.

Lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong told MTV News:

 ’Oh Love’ is kind of like leading with your heart and not necessarily with your brain as much…

And [also] kind of maybe losing your mind, and shooting a little bit more from the crotch area.

That might be true, but if the first single is any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for 3 pretty damn good albums.
