Unless you have been in a coma or trapped down a well for the last four months (welcome back!), you undoubtedly are aware of a little erotica novel called 50 Shades of Grey. Ladies pretty much fall into two groups – ones who have read the book and ones who are being told repeatedly that they “should totally read the book.” (Seriously, just read it already.)

Celebrities are getting into it too – famous women telling us whether they have or have not read it and famous guys saying if they would or would not want to play Christian Grey, the mind-blowingly hot male character who dominates the books (get it? Because it’s a book about BDSM?) A new trend is emerging though (I hope) of getting celebrities to read passages from 50 Shades out loud on camera, which you can see the cast of Snow White and the Huntsman doing here:

Charlize gets into it and does a good job. Chris Hemsworth in all his Australian glory could be reading a phone book and make it sound sexy so that’s a given. Kristen Stewart…meh. But if you haven’t read the books and are slightly curious on a PG-13 level if it REALLY is as graphic as it’s being made out to be (it is), watch this video.

If, on the other hand, you want to hear the R-rated version of it but also want a laugh, check out Gilbert Gottfried reading it.

I wish that would be come the trend instead: having people with strange yet iconic voices read passages from this book. Bobcat Goldthwait. Christopher Walken, obviously. Shatner, maybe. The sky is the limit!
