What is better than seeing Channing Tatum, practically naked and dancing suggestively for two hours? Nothing. But fans who can’t get enough of the actor no matter what kind of movie he is in will be pleased to know that he has signed on to star in (and produce) a biopic about epic daredevil Evel Knievel.

Evel Knievel was at the height of his fame in the 1960’s and 70’s and while most of us know who he is and what he did (jumped a motorcycle over stuff), that’s about as far as goes. But in the world before The X Games, he was a big deal. He was performing death-defying stunts way before anyone else had the balls to strap on an American flag cape and launch themselves through the air over 26 flaming tractor trailers.

Tatum is box office gold these days and has more than proved you can put him in pretty much anything and he will rock. Romance, comedy, semi autobiographical stripper-with-the-heart-of-gold. Why not take on the role of the world’s greatest daredevil?
