As an unknown actress new to young Hollywood, about the best thing that could happen to you would be to be plucked from obscurity and cast in a pivotal role in a blockbuster franchise.  That dream may be coming true for Zoe Aggeliki, the 18-year old Swedish model who is reportedly about to be cast as Johanna Mason in Catching Fire, the second installment of the Hunger Games trilogy.

Hunger Games fans had “dream-cast” actresses like Kristen Bell, Zoe Saldana and Eliza Dushku for the role of the vicious, ax-wielding tribute from District 7. In reality, casting for Johanna was trending towards less mainstream actresses. Zoe may have edged out Jena Malone (Donnie Darko, Sucker Punch) who was so far the top contender for the role.

Aside from looking almost exactly like Victoria’s Secret model Alessanda Ambrosio, not much else is known about Zoe. If she wins this role, she will be a main character in Catching Fire as well as the third (and possibly fourth) installment Mockingjay.
