AGT’s Last Quarterfinal Turns into Brawl

July 25th, 2012 | Posted by Damon Bradley in Featured TV | Reality TV | Television

If Tuesday night’s AMERICA’S GOT TALENT was a video game, it would easily have been “Mike Tyson’s Punch Out.” The competition is fierce, and it’s tough to beat the one with the most talent (clearly William Close is Mike Tyson here).

Just looking at the list of performers ensured that this episode of performances would include some of the best talent from the entire season. The order of performances was determined by luck of the draw, and it’s clear some of these performers are going to be shooting for a wildcard slot. Each judge will have the opportunity to bring one performer back, but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.

If you want to see all the patter and the pre-produced segments, take a look at the full episode here. Otherwise, let’s get to the highlights from each performer.

The Final Quarterfinal

David “The Bullet” Smith

The action moved outside for what felt like a pre-taped segment in a live show. He pushed himself to do a longer and higher cannon shot while carrying a football over the goal posts from 40 yards.

All That

The all-male clogging group entered the stage, and they probably had their best performance of the entire competition.

Ulysses

Poor Ulysses. He just can’t seem to catch a break… even with such a classic as AMERICAN BANDSTAND. Three X’s.

Joe Castillo

The talented sand artist brought his art … and a message to the AGT stage.

Sebastien El Charro de Oro

The judges loved this, but I thought it was pretty flat compared to the previous performances.

Eric Dittelman

Dittelman previously had fun with Sharon and Howard. This time, Howie’s gotta make a deal… or no deal.

William Close

This guy was so good in his initial audition, he didn’t even have to perform in Vegas. Here’s why…

Eric and Olivia

The couple (who aren’t a couple) came together to produce another cover of a popular song, but the judges seem to have fallen out of love.

Lindsey Norton

This 16-year old has Olympic gymnast potential!

Horse

Somewhere in Horse’s mind, this seems like a good idea. Ain’t that a kick in the head?

Olate Dogs

This dog show also made it through Vegas without performing, and they still impress!

Next on AGT…

The performers come back, and we’ll watch Ulysses and seven others get eliminated. That’s tonight at 9p/8c on NBC.
