Rudy got shafted because of course, America has a very very short attention span. Magic of Pucks trick was way more simple then Rudy's, probably why he went through, he is generic. Academy of Villains, not the first, and wont be last time a dance group did what they did on this show. Other dance groups have dressed up all evil like too. The pet act belongs on David Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks, not AGT. A generic young female singer, there are tons of them out there.
