If there’s one thing we can universally agree upon, having a viral video on YouTube doesn’t necessarily translate to “having talent.” This was easily proved during Tuesday night’s AMERICA’S GOT TALENT episode featuring 12 YouTube entrants.
Only four of the 12 will survive tonight’s results show, but I’m hard pressed to come up with even three that were any good.
Let’s go through the individual performances, but if you have a love for self-torture, here’s the full episode.
YouTube/Snapple Contestants
Clint Carvalho and his Extreme Parrots
This was actually pretty interesting, but as with all live pet stunts, things can go terribly wrong. In this case, it all worked out!
Reverse Order
This band sang “I Kissed a Girl” with a rock edge, but the song choice was a little bizarre.
Rudy Coby
We all need a little magic in our lives, but this trick was unbelievably simple to figure out.
7 in Unison
So, they’re dancers AND they’re boring? I’m in!
Drew Erwin
This guy seems to be a talented musician, but his voice started off very weak.
Melinda Hill
Blonde? Check. Attractive? Check. Comedian? Check. Funny? NOT SO FAST!
Eric Buss
I’m still trying to figure this out. It’s hard to describe.
Romeo Dance Cheetah
Air guitar is not a talent. Period.
The Magic of Puck
Things look good for Puck… as everyone else pretty much sucks.
Bria Kelly
This country singer impressed the judges! She’s probably going to make it through process of elimination.
Cast in Bronze
This “XXX” act inexplicably wore a mask and dark hood while playing. Instead of talented, he just looked nuts.
Academy of Villains
If this group doesn’t make it through, I’ll eat my shoes.
Tonight at 9p/8c, we’ll find out which acts make it through. In all likelihood, we’ll see Academy of Villains and Bria Kelly again. As for the other two… I’m guessing Puck and possibly the bird guy. It’s tough to call when there is so much suckage.
We’ll also see a day in the life of Howard Stern, who does double duty on AGT and his SiriusXM radio show.
If you have insomnia, here’s the full episode. It’ll knock you right out.
